PageRank has nothing to do with the ranking of web pages, it has to do with the level of authoritativeness the page has and how often it will be reindexed. Higher PageRank pages tend to be reindexed more often. And, yes - it is spelled PageRank.

The Google Toolbar will list your actual PageRank. Reality - The toolbar displays PageRank and backlink information that is generally 3-5 months old. Google no longer considers PageRank as an important factor in ranking, so stop obsessing over it. I removed the Google Toolbar from my browser a long time ago. It just takes up resources.

Searching for incoming links on Google using "link:" will show you all your backlinks. Sorry, Google only shows you a small number of the links they know about. They have publicly stated that the links they show you may not all be counted towards PageRank or site ranking. In fact, Google has become especially devious about backlinks. They frequently change the number and listing for backlinks, do not show all links, and may show low value links while hiding quality links. Instead, use Yahoo! Site Search to locate your backlinks.

About that "bonus" - forget it. There is no "special" bonus from a listing in the ODP directory. The listing and link your receive from the ODP is valued like any other link . . . there is no bonus.
